The Vietnam men's volleyball team has arrived in Japan to prepare for the 2025 Asian Club Championship (AVC Champions League). Coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team attended the event under the name Sport Center 3.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam men's volleyball team will meet Al Muhharraq (Bahrain) on May 12. This was a big challenge for Ngoc Thuan and his teammates on the opening day.
Al Muharraq is one of the strongest teams in the West Asia region, and is also the reigning champion of the Bahrain National Volleyball Championship. They have a strong attacking style of play and solid defense.
The representative of Bahrain volleyball regularly participates in international tournaments, so she has experience facing many strong teams in the region.
Next, on May 13, the Vietnam men's volleyball team will face Al Rayyan club - the current champion of the Qatar national volleyball tournament in the 2024-2025 season.
Previously, Al Rayyan also successfully defended his title at the 2025 ASEAN Men's Club Championship with an unbeaten record, earning 15 points after 5 wins. They showed their superior strength when possessing many excellent players such as Marcos Vinicius, Pape Magueye or Oliver Venno - Best Player of the tournament.
Al Rayyan's strengths lie in his ability to coordinate flexibly and have diverse attacking power, especially in the opposite and main attack positions. The Qatari representative is considered a strong candidate in the AVC Champions League 2025.
