This year's tournament will be held from July 13 to July 19 at Luwan Stadium (Thuong Hai, China) with 8 participating teams.
According to the draw results, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will enter Group A with China U21, France Youth Team and Bauru U21 (Brazil). Meanwhile, Group B includes 4 Shanghai U21 teams, Slovenia youth team, Netherlands youth team and Canada youth team.
In terms of strength, the Vietnam team includes the main striker Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Pham Thuy Linh, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Quach Thi Luyen; middle blocker Pham Thi Hien, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Le Thuy Linh, opposite Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh; setter Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Vi Thi Yen Nhi; Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh, Luu Thi Ly Ly libero.
The team's coaching staff in this tournament is coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa along with 2 assistants, Nguyen Ngoc Dung and Karl Lim.
