SEA V.League 2025 Volleyball Rankings: Vietnam ranked second in the group

MINH PHONG |

The Vietnam men's volleyball team has risen to second place in the group after 3 matches in the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League.

On the afternoon of July 11, the Vietnam men's volleyball team had an impressive comeback against Thailand with a score of 3-1.

Coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team unfortunately lost 29-31 in set 1, but then won the next 3 sets with scores of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-20 respectively.

With this result, Ngoc Thuan and his teammates temporarily rose to 2nd place on the rankings with 6 points after 3 matches (2 wins, 1 loss). Meanwhile, Thailand also has 6 points (2 wins, 1 loss) but temporarily leads due to a better win/ loss goal difference than the Vietnamese team.

The 3rd and 4th positions are Indonesia and the Philippines with the same 3 points after 1 win and 1 loss. Finally, Cambodia has no points after 2 consecutive losses.

In the final match, the Vietnam men's volleyball team will face Indonesia. Winning is the goal that coach Tran Dinh Tien is aiming for to compete for the championship with Thailand.

However, the disadvantage for the Vietnamese players is having to play for 4 consecutive days, not to mention being very determined in the recent match against Thailand.
