On the evening of July 24, the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize a candle burning ceremony to pay tribute to the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day at the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (Rach Gia Ward).
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union Phan Duy Bang emphasized: The incense offering ceremony and burning of candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs is an activity to remind each young person about the tradition of patriotism and national pride. The awareness and responsibility of young people who know how to cherish the past, to live, work, study, and protect the Fatherland are worthy of the sacrifices of a generation of heroes, martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the country and the revolution.

An Giang youth wishes to strive, constantly promote the spiritual and intellectual strength of the youth, continue the glorious tradition of the heroic homeland; unite, be creative, volunteer, contribute to building the province to develop more and more; worthy of being a generation of youth with "inwardness, intelligence, and confidence in building great ambitions".
On this occasion, the An Giang Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Police presented 12 gifts to former youth volunteers in difficult circumstances in Rach Gia Ward and Vinh Thong Ward. After the ceremony, more than 450 delegates, including cadres, soldiers, union members, and youth from colleges, universities, armed forces, the Rach Gia Ward Youth Union and the Vinh Thong Ward Youth Union, participated in burning candles and offering incense at the martyrs' graves.
