On June 25, An Giang province held a conference to announce the completion of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses (XNT, NDN) in 2025, 2 months ahead of schedule by the Government. This is considered a proud achievement when knowing that An Giang is a purely agricultural province, not having many large enterprises, but in a short time, 3,135 new houses have been completed and repaired.
Of which, there are 464 houses for meritorious people and 2,671 houses for poor and near-poor households under the National Target Programs and the Program to launch XNT and NDN with a total implementation cost of over 207.2 billion VND.
In addition, districts and towns have mobilized over 15,297 working days from charity housing construction teams, philanthropists, volunteers, armed forces and people and 14 house frames to support the construction and repair of houses to reduce construction costs, helping the house to be more spacious and sturdy.
Steering Committees at all levels also supported the construction and repair of 225 houses for other disadvantaged households with a budget of over 11.2 billion VND from social mobilization sources. At the same time, about 15,297 working days were mobilized. These knowing numbers have directly helped the province complete the target 2 months earlier than the Government's regulations.
