On the morning of June 25, An Giang province held a Conference to summarize the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area in 2025. Mr. Le Hong Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee; Mr. Ho Van Mung - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.

The report of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in An Giang province shows that by June 16, 2025, the whole province had implemented and put into use 3,135 houses, reaching 100% of the plan, 2 months ahead of the Government's regulations. Of which, 2,662 new houses were built and 473 were repaired. It is known that the total cost of implementing the program is up to over 207 billion VND from many sources of contribution: central budget, local budget, family contributions...

In particular, the Prime Minister and the Head of the Central Steering Committee called on the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group to support the province with 100 billion VND for implementation.

Reporting before the conference, on behalf of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Van Phuoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee emphasized: An Giang determined that the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is not a movement, but a sustainable process. With the motto: leaving no one behind, An Giang continues to promote creativity in thinking and working methods to continue the journey of support, creating conditions for people to settle down and make a living...

Speaking at the conference conclusion, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang highly appreciated and praised the results that the program has achieved.
The Provincial Party Secretary also requested Party committees, authorities and organizations at all levels to continue to join hands to strengthen the care for the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries, poor households and disadvantaged households in the area. At the same time, it increases interest, explanation, and encouragement so that households after receiving new houses can strive to improve their lives, creating a foundation to move towards basic and sustainable poverty reduction.
