Lao Cai - Gia Hoi Commune Police promptly supported 6 people trapped between two landslide points on the IC15 expressway connecting route.

On August 10, information from Gia Hoi Commune Police said that the unit had just supported 6 people trapped between two landslide points.

Previously, on the morning of August 9, Gia Hoi Commune Police received a report from Ms. Luong Mai Huong (born 2007, residing in Mau A commune) about a group of 6 people moving from Van Yen through the section connecting IC15 expressway, belonging to Chieng Pan village, Gia Hoi commune.

When arriving at this area, the group encountered landslides at both ends of the road, causing the whole group to be trapped in the landslide area.

Immediately after receiving the report, Gia Hoi Commune Police mobilized 5 officers and soldiers to coordinate with the Commune Military Command and the Security and Order Team of Chieng Pan village to quickly arrive at the scene.

Functional forces deployed measures to support and guide 6 people to move safely through the landslide area, and at the same time inspected, grasped the situation and proactively prevented unsafe risks.

Gia Hoi Commune Police recommends that during heavy rain, the risk of landslides, rockslides and flash floods is still complicated, people need to regularly monitor weather warnings, traffic conditions and limit movement through areas at risk of landslides.

When detecting landslides, congestion or people being trapped, people need to quickly notify the local government, Commune Police or the nearest functional force for support.

People should absolutely not arbitrarily approach or cross landslide areas when safety is not guaranteed.
