On March 7, the candidates for National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term of constituency No. 2, An Giang province had a meeting and contact with voters in Vinh Xuong commune.
At the meeting, voters had many opinions sent to the candidates for National Assembly deputies. Especially on infrastructure, agriculture and the lives of rural people.
Regarding the above issue, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union - said that An Giang after the merger is the province with the largest agricultural land area in the country, with advantages in rice production, aquaculture and fruit trees. However, An Giang has not been invested much compared to other regions in rural infrastructure.
Regarding agriculture, in the past time, many issues have been limited such as science and technology serving deep processing, capital sources, controlling input material prices and most recently the increase in fertilizer prices, causing farmers' incomes to become increasingly narrow. The problem of counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, and seedlings needs to be further controlled, so that people can feel secure in production.
These are issues that we will focus on proposing so that the Government as well as relevant ministries and sectors have more appropriate mechanisms and policies, and have timely investment projects so that people can conveniently travel and easily transport goods" - Mr. Luong Quoc Doan said.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan also said that if he is trusted to be re-elected as a National Assembly Deputy of the 16th term, he will continue to implement action programs.
One is to be attached to voters, listen to opinions, recommendations, proposals, thoughts, feelings, aspirations, difficulties and grievances of voters and truthfully reflect to the National Assembly, Government, ministries, departments, branches, and relevant agencies to promote the resolution and response to voters' recommendations.
Two is to fully fulfill the responsibilities of National Assembly deputies in law-making, supervising important issues of the country. In particular, pay attention to issues related to agriculture, farmers, rural areas, and the legitimate rights and interests of farmers. At the same time, play well the role of representing the farmer class in supervision and social criticism, in promoting the subjective role of farmers in building new rural areas, building the country and participating in Party building, government building, fighting against corruption, wastefulness and negativity.
Three is to strengthen going to the grassroots level, maintain close and intimate contact with voters and local Party committees and authorities, firmly grasp the current situation of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas, and irrationalities in some policies on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. From there, propose to the Party, National Assembly, Government, and ministries and sectors to have mechanisms and policies to support farmers, invest in agricultural and rural development in a practical and effective way, helping farmers promote production and consumption of agricultural products, increase income and improve living standards.
Fourth, advise and propose to promote agricultural and rural economic development, ensuring social security in rural areas. Participate in proposing and issuing guidelines and policies that are close to the actual socio-economic conditions, especially guidelines and policies on agriculture, farmers, rural areas and the lives of rural residents. Continue to support An Giang in developing infrastructure, investing in agriculture and improving the lives of rural people.
