The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on February 24th said that it had just organized the 3rd consultation conference, listening to a report on the situation and results of the organization of taking opinions and confidence of voters at their place of residence for candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
The 3rd consultation conference organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels finalized the official list of candidates for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Election preparation is entering the final stage when candidates meet with voters to campaign according to the law.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City discussed and unanimously finalized the official list of 18 people who meet the criteria for running for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and 125 people who meet the criteria for running for deputies of the City People's Council of the 11th term (term 2026 - 2031).
Da Nang City has set out 5 electoral units for National Assembly deputies, 23 electoral units for the City People's Council and established 1,784 election teams, preparing for the election for the 2026–2031 term.
On February 24, in Tam Ky ward, Da Nang City Department of Home Affairs - Standing Agency of the City Election Committee organized a training conference on election nghiệp vụ for leaders and officials of 36 commune and ward People's Committees in the Southern area of the city. The program is organized into 3 clusters in Tam Ky ward, Thanh Khe ward and Tay Giang commune, Da Nang city.
At cluster 1 in Tam Ky ward, leaders and officials of 36 communes and wards assigned to receive and summarize election results attended the training. The content focused on guiding the use of software to monitor voter voting progress; information review process, data entry, result transfer; and at the same time disseminating implementation steps before, during and after the election day.
The conference also spent time exchanging and agreeing on solutions to arising situations, ensuring that election work takes place democratically, in accordance with the law, safely and on schedule.
According to the Da Nang City Election Commission, the National Election Council determined that Da Nang has 5 units to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, electing 14 deputies; 23 units to elect People's Council deputies of the city, electing 76 deputies. The whole city has 628 commune-level People's Council deputies with 1,907 deputies elected and 1,784 polling areas, corresponding to 1,784 electoral groups established.
