Hanoi - On the morning of June 16, before the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association, delegates visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association led the delegation to attend the VIII National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association to visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

The delegation respectfully offered a wreath bearing the words "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".

In the sacred moment, the delegation expressed their respect and remembrance for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader, National Liberation Hero, the founder and trainer of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the vanguard of the working class, the working people and the Vietnamese nation.

Next, the delegation attending the Congress laid a wreath at the Bac Son Martyrs' Memorial.

The delegation's wreath bears the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates bowed to commemorate the outstanding children of the nation who bravely fought, sacrificed, and dedicated their lives to the cause of struggle for independence, freedom, and national reunification.

The VIII National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans Association took place in 2 days (June 16-17) at the Ministry of National Defense Hall (Hanoi), with the participation of 458 official delegates representing more than 3 million veteran members nationwide and about 150 guest delegates who are Party and State leaders, central departments, ministries, branches, People's Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes and typical delegates in many fields.

The Congress has the theme: Promoting the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the tradition of "Loyalty - Unity - Exemplary - Innovation"; building a clean and strong Vietnam Veterans Association, excellently completing its tasks.

The Congress is a particularly important socio-political event; focusing on discussing and deciding on directions and tasks for the 2026 - 2031 term with many key objectives.

In which, striving to develop over 85% of eligible subjects to join the Association; annually over 90% of Association organizations successfully complete their tasks; eliminate all poor veteran households according to the new criteria of the Government; from 70 - 75% of members of working age are consulted and supported in finding jobs; and at the same time complete 100% digitization of data on organizations and members in the digital environment...
