Expecting positive changes for Front work
At the meeting, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - sent congratulations to the official delegates attending the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), term 2026-2031. At the same time, expressed his wish that the Ho Chi Minh City delegation would continue to promote the tradition of previous Congresses.
Mr. Le Quoc Phong also hoped that delegates would continue to contribute opinions to the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the leadership and direction of Front activities in a special city like Ho Chi Minh City. If the city's Front work continues to be effectively implemented and makes many positive contributions to the national Front work, it will create positive changes, and at the same time, contribute more both in theory and practice to Front activities in the coming period.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City attending the Congress - respectfully requested delegates to prepare a presentation speech. In case there is not enough time to present, it will be sent to the Presidium of the Congress through the Secretariat to summarize and fully absorb the opinions of Ho Chi Minh City delegates.
Mr. Loc also hoped that delegates would prepare their minds so that when conditions and time are appropriate, they will participate in speaking with a positive, responsible and dedicated spirit towards the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the same time, take care of their health to fully participate in the Congress's programs.
Innovation and promotion of democracy and social criticism
The delegation of Ho Chi Minh City attending the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front includes 90 delegates.
Sharing about the responsibility of the Ho Chi Minh City delegation before the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Kim Hong - Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Education and Training - affirmed that in the digital age, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is not only a symbol of solidarity but must be a practical extension between the Party's will and the people's hearts.
This role needs to be concretized through two key tasks: improving the capacity of social criticism and independent supervision to protect the legitimate interests of the people. At the same time, arousing civic responsibility in the cause of national construction and urban development, especially Ho Chi Minh City.
As a teacher and intellectual of Ho Chi Minh City, delegate Kim Hong expressed her determination to bring scientific thinking and integrity to the Front work. The goal is to apply technological advances to listen to the people faster and more closely, and at the same time, contribute wisdom to amending the Charter of the Front to create a strong legal corridor for supervisory activities.
Delegate Truong Thi Hoa - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Commercial Arbitration Center - said that this Congress is of key significance in institutional innovation and promoting grassroots democracy.
Each member not only participates in voting, but more importantly, fully grasps strategic decisions to spread and bring the spirit of renovation of the Front closer to people's lives.
