Over the past time, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City has implemented practical projects and tasks to celebrate the National Congress of the VFF and the National Congress of socio-political organizations, term 2026 - 2031.
In which, regarding the construction and repair of houses in response to the emulation movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the city by 2025", the unit has deployed the Front system at all levels to implement and complete ahead of schedule with 323/323 houses, reaching a rate of 100%, with a total cost of more than 23.3 billion VND. In Binh Duong province (previously), the mobilization work reached 49.788 billion VND, implementing the construction and repair of 216 houses.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels have actively mobilized and supported the construction and repair of 899 houses with a total budget of more than 44.8 billion VND.
In addition, the city budget has spent 334.265 billion VND to support funding for the implementation of the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for some provinces.
The "Moon and River Festival - National Unity" series takes place from August 25 - November 20, 2025 with 4 peak periods, taking care of social security for more than 84 billion VND. On the occasion of the Great Unity Festival alone, 68 houses, more than 67,800 gifts (worth 20.45 billion VND) were awarded and 2,528 great unity meals were organized.
The "City of Colorful Flowers" movement has also spread strongly. To date, the whole city has formed 1,974 projects, 20 great solidarity gardens and more than 223,000 green trees planted.
The "Spring of Solidarity - Tet of Affection" festival was organized simultaneously in 273 residential areas, attracting more than 150,000 people to participate. More than 470,000 gifts with a total budget of more than 336.179 billion VND were sent to policy families, people in difficult circumstances, the elderly, orphans and people with disabilities.
In addition, the art program "City of Compassion - Connecting Love" has received more than 62 billion VND in support from funds "For the Poor", "For the Homeland's Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland", serving social security work and caring for frontline forces, officers, soldiers and people in border and island areas.
