On the afternoon of May 8, a man driving a motorbike (unclear license plate) was traveling on Pham Van Dong avenue, heading from Tan Son Nhat airport to Go Dua bridge. When just descending Binh Loi bridge (section in Hiep Binh ward, near the intersection with National Highway 13), the vehicle suddenly caught fire.
Detecting fire rising from the body of the car, the man quickly pulled over to the side of the road. However, the fire spread too quickly accompanied by small explosions, making no one of the car owner and passersby dare to approach. In just a moment, the fire engulfed the entire vehicle.

At the scene, the motorbike was completely burned down, leaving only a black iron frame.
The fire occurred during rush hour in the afternoon, coupled with many curious people stopping to watch, causing traffic congestion across Binh Loi bridge.

Immediately after receiving the news, local functional forces quickly arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and handle the incident.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
