The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front plans to conduct 2 inspections and supervision of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has just signed and issued Plan No. 82/KH-MTTW-BTT on inspecting and supervising the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term (plan).

The purpose of the plan is to grasp the situation and results of organizing and implementing the election work at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of localities. At the same time, through inspection and supervision work, promptly detect difficulties, obstacles, and inadequacies in the implementation of local election work, signs or violations of election law (if any) to have measures to guide, direct or recommend timely solutions for agencies, organizations, and units responsible for timely overcoming. Contributing to ensuring that the election is conducted democratically, in accordance with the law, safely, economically, and truly a People's festival.

The plan requires election inspection and supervision activities to be conducted promptly, economically, effectively, in accordance with the set content and progress plan.

In addition, when detecting violations, they must promptly inform the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Election Work of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for consideration and resolution; do not arbitrarily handle issues not under their authority and functions.

In addition, the organization of inspection and supervision teams should avoid overlapping areas with inspection and supervision teams of the National Election Council and competent authorities.

Regarding the subjects of inspection, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front inspected the election work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at the provincial and commune levels and the Front Working Committees in residential areas.

Regarding the subjects of supervision, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front supervises the election work for the National Election Council, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, organizations in charge of elections in localities; Standing Committees of People's Councils, People's Committees at all levels and relevant agencies, organizations and individuals.

Following the plan, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will organize inspection and supervision teams for the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term in localities and units. It is expected to be divided into 2 inspection and supervision periods; each inspection and supervision team is in 1-3 provinces and cities. In case the monitoring team is not organized, the monitoring will be done through research and reporting.

The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sends cadres to coordinate in inspecting and supervising election work with the election inspection and supervision delegations of the National Election Council when requested.

According to the plan, the first inspection and supervision period will take place from December 11, 2025 to February 8, 2026; the second inspection and supervision period will take place from February 9, 2026 to March 15, 2026.
