On July 26, information from the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society said that in 5 years (2022-2026), the Association's work and the Red Cross movement in the province achieved many important results, continuing to affirm its core role, bridge and coordination in humanitarian activities.
The total value of humanitarian activities in the term reached more than 247 billion VND, supporting more than 620,000 people, equal to 135% of the total value of activities of the previous term. The operating efficiency of the Associations at all levels is 9 times higher than the state budget.
Associations at all levels have mobilized many social resources to care for the poor, people in difficult circumstances and vulnerable people. Many models and ways of doing things have been implemented, helping people have more conditions to stabilize their lives.
When natural disasters, epidemics or emergencies occur, Red Cross officials, members and volunteers promptly participate in supporting people, contributing to reducing damage and spreading the spirit of compassion in the community.
The organization of the Association has been gradually consolidated in a streamlined direction. After implementing the policy of arranging organization from July 1, 2025, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Association currently has 25 officials, 3 professional departments, managing 10,909 members, 3,165 volunteers and 50,195 Red Cross youth.
In the process of operation, the Provincial Red Cross Society has proactively advised the Provincial People's Committee, coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, and departments, agencies, and branches to implement humanitarian and social security tasks.
