On January 25, the Party Committee - People's Committee - People's Council - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Dong Hiep ward (Ho Chi Minh City) organized the Walk for Community Health Day and joined hands to donate Tet Nguyen Dan Binh Ngo 2026 gifts to the poor in the area.
The festival attracted more than 1,000 officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, union members, association members, representatives of businesses, philanthropists and people in the ward to participate.
Leaders of Tan Dong Hiep Ward People's Committee said that the program is a practically meaningful activity, harmoniously combining health training, improving the spiritual life of the people with social security work, and caring for vulnerable groups in the community.
Through the program, the organizing committee mobilized more than 1.5 billion VND. The entire fund is used to care for Tet for poor households, near-poor households, policy families, lonely elderly people and difficult circumstances in the ward.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy - Chairman of Tan Dong Hiep Ward People's Committee said that each contribution, whether large or small, shows responsibility, affection and noble gestures, contributing to bringing a warmer and more fulfilling Tet for those in difficult circumstances.
With the responsibility of the local government, Tan Dong Hiep Ward People's Committee is committed to organizing the program for the right purpose, safely, economically, and effectively. At the same time, managing and using mobilized funds is public, transparent, and in accordance with regulations. Giving gifts to the right recipients, in a timely manner before the Lunar New Year" - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy said.
It is known that, according to the plan, Tan Dong Hiep ward is preparing 2,000 Tet gifts (each gift worth 1 million VND in gifts and 400,000 VND in cash) to give to poor and difficult households in the area.
