Vinh Long - Vinh Long Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee supports Lai Chau province with 1 billion VND to overcome natural disasters.

According to a report by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, from July 27 to August 2, the Front system at all levels deployed many outstanding activities on supervision, social criticism, social security care and strengthening digital transformation in the province.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee attended many conferences of the Central Government and the province, met with voters, worked with localities, cooperatives, religious organizations, and at the same time organized visits to soldiers participating in the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The highlight of the week is the allocation of 1 billion VND to support people in Lai Chau province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods and the deduction of 60 million VND from the Fund for the Poor to support the construction of a Great Solidarity house for households in difficult circumstances in Trung Hiep commune.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province also organized two survey conferences and seminars to improve the quality of supervision and social criticism with more than 173 delegates; signed a program to coordinate the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation with MobiFone and Viettel Vinh Long.

During the week, the unit established delegations to supervise the implementation of policies for officials after merging commune-level administrative units, supervise the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion, and criticize many drafts related to investment and state management.

Member organizations continue to implement many outstanding activities. The Trade Union Working Committee has newly developed 172 union members, established a grassroots trade union and cared for workers with a total budget of more than 6.8 billion VND. The Farmers' Association disbursed 1.7 billion VND from the Farmers' Support Fund for 35 households to borrow, while the Youth Union mobilized more than 8,500 union members to respond to Green Sunday.

The Women's Affairs Committee mobilized hundreds of gifts, handed over "Houses of Compassion", supported women in difficult circumstances; the Veterans Affairs Committee promoted gratitude activities, searching for martyrs' remains. Sub-department centers continued technical training, skills education and maintained many activities serving youth and farmers in the area.
