Ninh Binh - Discovering nearly 1 billion VND mistakenly transferred to an account, a resident in Ninh Binh reported to the police and coordinated to return it fully to the owner.

On March 18, Gia Tran Commune Police, Ninh Binh province said that the unit had just promptly supported and helped Mr. Bui Hong Son (residing in hamlet 3 Phuong Dong, Gia Tran commune) to return nearly 1 billion VND mistakenly transferred to his account by others.

Previously, Mr. Son's bank account suddenly received 998 million VND but of unknown origin. Recognizing that this could be money mistakenly transferred by someone else, he proactively went to Gia Tran Commune Police to report and request support for verification to return it to the legal owner.

Immediately after receiving the information, Gia Tran Commune Police quickly coordinated with Techcombank Ninh Binh branch and functional units to verify and clarify the owner of the money.

At the same time, functional forces contacted and guided the mistaken transferee, Mr. Ha Huu T (born in 1977, residing in Cai Rang ward, Can Tho city) to carry out the necessary procedures to receive the full amount of money back.

With the support of the police agency, the return of nearly 1 billion VND was completed.

The honest and responsible actions of Mr. Bui Hong Son and his family, along with the quick and timely involvement of Gia Tran Commune Police in supporting people to receive their property back, have contributed to spreading good values in society, consolidating people's trust in the Ninh Binh Provincial Police force in particular and the People's Police force in general.
