On July 22, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City visited and presented gifts to typical families of people with meritorious services to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
The delegation visited wounded soldier Hoang Trong Hieu (81% disability rate) in Thuy Xuan ward; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan in Kim Long ward; wounded soldier Nguyen Ngoc Suu (39%) and wounded soldier Nguyen Lo (21%) in Huong An ward.
At the families, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van cordially inquired about their health and life, expressed her gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and wounded soldiers to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. She hoped that the families would continue to take care of them so that the Mothers and wounded soldiers could live happily and healthily, being a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren.
Representatives of the families expressed their emotion at the concern of the Party, State and local authorities; affirmed that they will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, educate their children and grandchildren to study and work, contributing to building their homeland.
This is an activity in the "Returning to the Roots" program series, expressing Hue City's gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services.
On the same day, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zone - and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious services in Loc An, Chan May - Lang Co and Vinh Loc communes.
The delegation visited Ms. Mai Thi Gai (injured soldier grade 1/4, working capacity loss 81%) in Loc An commune; Mr. Bui Nhung in Chan May - Lang Co commune and Mr. Nguyen Sao (injured soldier grade 1/4) in Vinh Loc commune.
Mr. Phan Quy Phuong inquired about the health and lives of the families, expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of wounded soldiers and people with meritorious services; and at the same time informed about some new policies, hoping that the families will continue to promote revolutionary traditions.
He also proposed that local Party committees and authorities regularly pay attention to and care for the lives of people with meritorious services; continue to fully and promptly implement preferential policies, so that the "Gratitude" work becomes a regular and practical task.
