To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on July 19, a Central working delegation led by General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security - visited and presented gifts to war invalids, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution in Gia Lai province.

The working delegation offered flowers and incense at Quy Nhon Martyrs' Cemetery, expressing boundless respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification and national defense.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs; lit incense on each grave, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude" of the nation.

Next, the working delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers being cared for at the Gia Lai Provincial Center for Care and Nursing of People with Meritorious Services. Currently, the Center is regularly nurturing 9 people with meritorious services to the revolution, and at the same time organizing centralized nursing for people with meritorious services inside and outside the province.
At the visit, General Luong Tam Quang sent heartfelt greetings to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The General affirmed that the Party, State and People always remember the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.
At the same time, he emphasized that caring for the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services is a sacred responsibility and obligation of the entire political system and the whole society.

The Party and State are implementing many guidelines and policies to effectively implement the "Gratitude" work, in which special attention is paid to the search, repatriation, and identification of martyrs' remains with the highest political determination, so that heroic martyrs can return to their families, homeland, and comrades.
The delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Hien (Quy Nhon Nam ward); Colonel Che Truong - wounded soldier, former Director of the Provincial Police, currently living with his mother-in-law, Vietnamese Heroic Mother; Mr. Nguyen Van Thiet, 100% wounded soldier in Quy Nhon ward.

At the families, General Luong Tam Quang cordially inquired about the health and life situation, expressing deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers and people with meritorious services to the cause of national liberation, national reunification and national defense.
The General hoped that families would continue to promote revolutionary traditions, maintain health, educate their children and grandchildren to follow the example of previous generations, and actively participate in building an increasingly rich and civilized homeland. At the same time, he requested Party committees and local authorities to continue to pay attention to fully and promptly implementing preferential regimes and policies for people with meritorious services; take better care of material and spiritual life so that policy families have an increasingly stable and prosperous life.

On this occasion, General Luong Tam Quang and the working delegation presented many meaningful gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and policy families.
