From the evening of July 23 to July 24, it is forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 30 - 100mm, locally very heavy rain over 200mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 100mm within 3 hours.
On the night of July 24 and July 25, the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20 - 50mm, locally very heavy rain over 100mm.
Total rainfall from the evening of July 23 to July 25 in the Northern region is commonly 70 - 150mm, locally over 300mm. The focus of rain is Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La provinces need to be wary of the risk of flash floods and landslides.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have rain, moderate rain with rainfall of 20 - 50mm, locally heavy to very heavy rain over 100mm.
In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, hail is level 1.
Heavy rain and localized heavy rain are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes.
