The conference is meant to prepare a strategy for the new term
In the afternoon of April 12, delegates attending the 7th Conference of the 10th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front continued to discuss the content of the Submission of the draft document submitted to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized the 7th Conference, 10th term to consider and contribute opinions on draft documents submitted to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai clearly stated that in the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has actively participated in important tasks of the country such as contributing opinions to draft documents submitted to Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party; and at the same time continue to promote supervision and social criticism activities, grasp the people's situation, and promptly reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the people to the Party and State.
In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has actively participated in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. This is an election with a voter turnout rate of 99.7%, the highest among previous elections.

That result has made very positive contributions to the success of the 16th National Assembly election and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term," Chairman Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized and was pleased to inform delegates that Comrade General Secretary, President To Lam is very concerned and has a lot of affection for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. Comrade General Secretary, President sent greetings, wishes for good health and thanks for the contributions of the elderly, dignitaries, and comrades of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the past time.
According to Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai, this Conference is of particular importance, focusing on discussing and giving opinions on the contents of preparation for the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031. This is an important milestone for us to review and evaluate the operating results of the 2024 - 2026 period and set out a vision and strategy for the new development phase of the Front system.
Recently, to prepare the content to be submitted at this Conference, the Standing Committee has organized the steps of seeking opinions on the draft Congress Document; submitting to the Secretariat for comments. The Standing Committee has seriously received the opinions to complete the draft submitted at the Conference," Chairwoman Bui Thi Minh Hoai informed and emphasized that the Standing Committee and the Presidium really want to hear more opinions from the Committee members to complete the documents submitted to the Congress.
Proposal for new orientation: Digital transformation and putting people at the center
Contributing opinions to the content of the draft political report submitted to the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President, Non-professional Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education said that in the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has achieved many outstanding achievements. In which, the Front has actively participated, contributing to the resounding success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term and many important political events of the country.
Highly appreciating the elaborate and thoughtful preparation for the draft documents submitted to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan said that the content on orientations and tasks in the new term of the draft Political Report has closely followed the spirit of the 14th Party Congress Resolution, the Politburo's resolutions, integrated into 7 specific action programs, especially the program on participating in science and technology development, innovation, building a digital society, and promoting digital transformation in the Vietnam Fatherland Front system.
At the same time, the draft Political Report has shown high determination, towards the grassroots level, taking the measure of people's satisfaction to evaluate the effectiveness of cadre work. All contents are evaluated in the direction of "clear people, clear time, clear results".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan proposed that, in the content on the direction, goals and breakthrough tasks of the draft Political Report, along with breakthroughs in institutions and breakthroughs in administrative reform, there should be further strong innovation in thinking about the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the role of Front work in the new situation.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to innovate its methods of action, shifting from administrative management to creating modern governance, creating a cultural environment, creating a joyful, exciting, united, understanding atmosphere, and mobilizing the participation of the entire society in Front work," Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan proposed.
Contributing opinions on the content of directions, goals and action programs for the 2026-2031 term, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Mai - a typical individual of the San Diu ethnic group expressed her agreement and high consensus on the goals of 100% of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations deploying the "Digital Front Gate" to receive 24/7 recommendations; Annually, 100% of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations at all levels organize "Month of Listening to the People", implement "3 public disclosures - 3 supervisions".
According to Ms. Tran Thi Bich Mai, currently people's recommendations to the Party and the State are very diverse in many fields. Issues are all made public on digital platforms, social networks, and information is timely and faster than before. However, people are still concerned that people are not always able to meet and send their thoughts and aspirations to delegates and voters.
Therefore, Ms. Tran Thi Bich Mai proposed that in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will have specific instructions, thoroughly utilize social media platforms to enhance the patriotism and absolute trust of the people in the Party and State; and at the same time enhance the position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the subconscious of each citizen through each commune and ward having its own Fanpage to post articles weekly, thereby people can easily interact and reflect their thoughts and aspirations. Front Work Boards in residential areas strengthen coordination and guidance for people, thereby contributing to solving prominent problems and obstacles in communes and wards, creating social consensus at the grassroots level.
