On the morning of June 25, at the solemn session of the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026 - 2031, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union presented a paper with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Youth Pioneer in Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation".
Mr. Ngo Minh Hai said that the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union determined that building a digital youth class, forming a mindset of mastering technology and innovation is a fundamentally meaningful task.
Through youth forums, thematic conferences, youth union activities, training classes and the digital communication system of the Youth Union organization, Youth Union levels have gradually oriented union members and youth to shift from technology approach thinking to technology mastery thinking; from technology users to creative forces, designing and applying technology to solve practical problems of the locality and society.
Regarding implementation solutions, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union has implemented the "Digital Literacy" movement through coordinating with localities to establish "Digital Literacy Teams", "Community Digital Technology Teams" going through every alley, knocking on every door, guiding people on basic digital skills, steps to access, look up and use online public services,...
In particular, under the direction of the Central Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the City Youth Union has deployed the "Digital Summer" volunteer youth team with the goal of bringing digital transformation closer to the people, contributing to the effective implementation of the "Digital Education for All" movement, building digital citizens and improving digital capacity in the community...
Science, technology, and innovation activities have also been developed into international cooperation activities. Many delegations of city youth have been sent to work, exchange, and learn from experience.
At the same time, the City Youth Union also welcomes international delegations to exchange, study, discuss, and exchange experiences on innovation, startups, digital technology, green economy, circular economy, cultural exchange, and volunteer cooperation between city youth and international youth.
From the practical implementation in Ho Chi Minh City, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union hopes that Party and State leaders will continue to trust and assign tasks to youth to dedicate themselves and contribute in difficult fields, contributing to the common development of the country; create conditions for the Youth Union organization to have forces and factors to do the work of mobilizing youth to actively participate in implementing breakthrough models and solutions for science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
For relevant ministries and sectors, Mr. Ngo Minh Hai proposed to continue to improve mechanisms and policies, discover, nurture, attract and value young talents, creating conditions for young people to participate more deeply in the process of scientific research, digital transformation and solving development problems of the country.
