The Vesak of Buddha 2570 - Gregorian calendar 2026 takes place in the atmosphere of our country just successfully organizing many important political events: the 14th National Congress of the Party, the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and deputies of People's Councils at all levels, term 2026-2031 and the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031; at the same time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha is also organizing many major events: the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Congresses at all levels, term 2026 - 2031, towards the 10th National Buddhist Congress and the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (1981 - 2026). In harmony with the common joy of the country, of the Sangha and welcoming the Vesak, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I respectfully send to venerable dignitaries, monks, nuns, Buddhists and Buddhist compatriots my sincere greetings, affectionate feelings and best wishes.
In the past time, in the context of many intertwined opportunities and challenges, but under the wise leadership of the Party, the drastic direction of the Government, the companionship of the National Assembly, the active participation of all classes of people, including the active participation and contribution of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha at all levels and Vietnamese monks, nuns, and Buddhists at home and abroad, our country has achieved many great achievements in all fields. Socio-economic development, national defense and security are maintained, social security is ensured, people's lives are improved, national position and prestige in the international arena are enhanced. Contributing to the common achievements of the country, Vietnamese Buddhism has always upheld the spirit of "national protection and people's peace", "religion accompanies the nation", actively building and developing the country, fostering social morality, and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I respectfully acknowledge and warmly commend the important contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Buddhist compatriots to the common development achievements of the country.
Our country is continuing to comprehensively promote the renovation process, proactively and actively integrate deeply into the international community, I believe that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Buddhist compatriots will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, uphold the spirit of "protecting the country and pacifying the people", "the Dharma accompanies the nation" determined to unite with the entire Party, army and people, joining hands and hearts to build a country that is increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy in the new era.
