Ho Chi Minh City - The launching ceremony of the people's health care program in revolutionary base areas took place on the morning of July 25.

Healthcare for people in revolutionary base areas

To celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the morning of July 25, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with Military Hospital 7A to deploy and organize the launching ceremony of the people's health care program in revolutionary base areas.

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that choosing the time to launch the army on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day further makes the program more meaningful, affirming the position, role, prestige, and feelings of the Vietnam People's Army for the people in the revolutionary base area in the city.

Organizing comprehensive health check-ups to manage people's health according to the life cycle will help assess the disease model, thereby being more proactive in protecting, caring for and improving people's health.

To make activities increasingly in-depth, practical and effective, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc requested the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of communes and wards in revolutionary base areas to urgently report to Party committees and local authorities, and at the same time, closely coordinate with Military Hospital 7A to organize good health check-ups for the people.

Currently, the activity is being piloted in 10 communes and wards in the revolutionary base area. In the coming time, continue to improve the quality and expand to many other areas, associated with the synchronous implementation of gratitude policies, social security, social assistance and social protection in Ho Chi Minh City.

Safe and appropriate medical examination

Colonel To Van Vinh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 7A said that the program is not only to perform professional tasks but also the responsibility and feelings of military doctors towards the people, especially the people in revolutionary-rich lands in Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately after having a coordination policy, the hospital proactively connected with localities, and at the same time, fully prepared medical staff, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and technicians; reviewed medical supplies and necessary equipment to serve medical examination and health consultation for people.

The unit identified the important requirement of the program as organizing thoughtful, safe, professional, and targeted medical examinations. For cases that require monitoring, re-examination, or referral, the hospital will coordinate to hand over information to localities to continue managing and taking care of health after examination.

Representative of the medical team, Colonel BS.CKII Dang Bao Toan - Head of the General Planning Department of Military Hospital 7A said that the hospital has established a team of 25 members to participate in performing the task.

Through the program, we not only want to provide medical examinations and health consultations for people but also bring medical services closer to people, contributing to caring for and protecting people's health according to the general direction of Ho Chi Minh City" - Colonel BS.CKII Dang Bao Toan shared.

In this phase, the delegation will organize health check-ups and consultations in 10 revolutionary base communes in the city, including Tan Vinh Loc commune, An Nhon Tay commune, Nhuan Duc commune, Thai My commune, Tan Dong Hiep ward, Dong Hoa ward, Ho Tram commune, Hoa Hoi commune, Dat Do commune, Phuoc Hai commune.

Examination content includes blood pressure measurement, internal medicine examination, cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, chronic disease counseling, nutrition...
