Receiving a savings book worth 3 million VND from Kim Lien ward, Mr. Hoang Van Henh emotionally said that he felt lucky to have returned alive and witnessed the country's peace and development.
What makes me happy and touched is the concern of all levels, sectors and people for people with meritorious services. Many comrades have sacrificed and remained on the battlefield. Therefore, I cherish today's life and the feelings that society has for us," Mr. Henh shared.
Bearing the injuries left by the war, Mr. Henh said that in the years after returning, he always received care, treatment and necessary support. That concern is a source of encouragement for those who have contributed to the country to continue to live happily and usefully.
The country is peaceful, life is increasingly developing, and later generations have conditions to study and grow up. I believe that the sacrifices of our generation are worthy. The important thing is that the tradition of patriotism and the spirit of responsibility to the country continue to be preserved and promoted by the young generation," Mr. Henh said.
From direct care for people with meritorious services, Kim Lien ward implements many gratitude activities in a practical direction, associated with the needs of policy families. The ward has awarded 21 savings books, each worth 3 million VND, to people with meritorious services and families of martyrs; awarded 47 portrait photos of heroic martyrs restored to relatives, and health checks for policy beneficiaries in the area...

In these activities, union members and youth of the ward also participate in supporting people with meritorious services, especially wounded soldiers who have difficulty moving.
