Over 50.2 billion VND to support Son La people to overcome the consequences of floods

Son La - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province has received over 50.2 billion VND from agencies, units and individuals to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Implement Official Dispatch No. 7848-CV/TU dated July 29, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the policy of calling for support to overcome the damage caused by natural disasters in the province and Plan No. 80/KH-MTTQ-UB dated July 29, 2025 of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on mobilizing donations to support the overcoming of damage caused by rain and floods in Son La province.

Ms. Hoang Thi Luong Tam - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province said that from July 29 to September 9, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province received over 50.2 billion VND from agencies, units, enterprises, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support Son La people to overcome the consequences of floods that occurred at the end of July and the beginning of August 2025.

The Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee has promptly allocated and transferred the above amount to affected localities to provide timely support to the people.

In particular, 6 families that died due to floods were promptly visited, encouraged and supported with a total amount of 150 million VND; necessities and goods supported by organizations and individuals were delivered directly and promptly to the people.

The leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee expressed their gratitude to agencies, units, organizations and individuals for their concern, sharing and joining hands to support people affected by floods.

"The noble gestures and practical spiritual and material help of the social community are a great motivation, of noble humanitarian significance, helping people in the disaster-affected areas in Son La to be confident, soon stabilize their lives and restore production" - Ms. Tam shared.
