On the afternoon of December 18, at the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in December 2024, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - awarded 5 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in handling serious environmental pollution in the province.
Accordingly, in Bac Ninh City, there are collectives and individuals: Bac Ninh City Police; Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Duc Bach - Deputy Head of Bac Ninh City Police; Ms. Duong To Uyen - Head of Justice Department; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tung - official of the Center for Culture - Sports and Communications - with achievements in handling environmental pollution in Phong Khe craft village.
In Yen Phong district, there are groups and individuals: people and officials of Yen Phong district; Yen Phong district police; Lieutenant Colonel Cao Dinh Thuan - Deputy Head of Yen Phong district police; Major Nghiem Dinh Quyen - Deputy Head of Van Mon commune police; Mr. Pham Duc Dinh - Deputy Head of Natural Resources and Environment Department - with achievements in handling environmental pollution in Van Mon commune.
In Tien Du district, there are groups and individuals: people and officials of Phu Lam commune; Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment - with achievements in environmental pollution treatment at Phu Lam industrial cluster.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan acknowledged and praised the sense of responsibility of the forces involved in handling the 3 "hot spots" of environmental pollution in craft villages in Phong Khe ward, Van Mon commune and Phu Lam industrial cluster. Overcoming initial obstacles, the entire political system joined in implementing many measures, thereby creating a clear change and achieving many positive results.
In the coming time, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requested that localities must always determine the viewpoint of "not letting environmental pollution become a lasting pain", continue to be determined in handling environmental pollution, serving the happy life of the people so that Bac Ninh province can develop greenly and sustainably.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan requested Bac Ninh city to complete the inspection of all facilities in Phong Khe 1 and 2 Industrial Parks before December 30. Any facility that does not meet the conditions will be suspended to create fairness in the implementation process.
Tien Du district has suspended operations of 100% of facilities outside Phu Lam industrial cluster and has more drastically implemented inspections of enterprises in the cluster.
Yen Phong district continues to maintain the results achieved in handling environmental pollution in Van Mon commune, with the viewpoint of not accepting production facilities and households to return to operation without ensuring regulations on environment, construction, fire prevention and fighting, and rescue.
For the remaining localities, proactively develop a plan to handle environmental pollution points in the area, complete by March 31, 2025 at the latest, for implementation.
