Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on June 14, the center of storm No. 1 was at about 21.2 degrees north latitude; 109.9 degrees east longitude, in the Lusian Peninsula (China).
The strongest wind near the storm center is level 10 (89 - 102km/h), gusting to level 12. The storm continues to move northeast at a speed of 15-20km/h.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move northeast at a speed of 15 - 20km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression. At 1:00 p.m. on June 15, the center of the tropical depression was at about 24.2 degrees north latitude; 112.5 degrees east longitude, in the mainland area of Guangdong province (China).
Wind intensity near the center of the tropical depression is level 7, gusting to level 9. The dangerous area at sea in the next 24 hours will be the northern area of the latitude of 19.5 degrees north latitude and from 108 to 112 degrees east longitude. The natural disaster risk level in the northern Gulf of Tonkin and the northwest of the northern East Sea is level 3.
It is forecasted that in the next 36 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move northeast at a speed of 20 - 25km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area over the mainland of Quang Dong province, with wind intensity below level 6.
Regarding the impact of the storm, the sea area east of the northern Gulf of Tonkin will have strong winds of level 7 - 8, the area near the storm's center will have strong winds of level 9 - 10, gusting to level 12.
Waves are 2 to 4m high, very rough seas. The sea area west of the northern Gulf of Tonkin (including Co To and Bach Long Vi island districts) and the northwest of the northern East Sea will have strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, waves from 2 to 3m high, rough seas. Ship operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by strong winds, large waves, thunderstorms and dangerous tornadoes.
