Typhoon No. 2 Noul strengthens to gusts of level 16, making landfall in Guangdong, China

Early this morning (July 26), storm No. 2 Noul entered the mainland south of Guangdong province (China).

Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 AM on July 26, the center of storm No. 2 Noul was located at about 22.8 degrees North latitude - 114.7 degrees East longitude, on land along the southern coast of Guangdong province (China). The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 12-13 (118-149 km/h), gusting at level 16. The storm moves in a Northwest direction at a speed of about 20 km/h.

Forecast for the next 12 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northwest direction, speed 15-20 km/h and gradually weaken. By 16:00 on July 26, the storm's center will be located at about 24.3 degrees North latitude - 113.8 degrees East longitude; on land in Guangdong province (China). Wind intensity level 8, gusts level 10.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will continue to move in the North-Northwest direction at a speed of 15-20 km/h. The intensity gradually weakens into a tropical depression, followed by a low pressure area below level 6. By 4 am on July 27, the center of the low pressure area will be located at about 26 degrees North latitude - 113.1 degrees East longitude, on land south of Hunan province (China).

Regarding the impact of the storm, storm No. 2 has entered the mainland south of Guangdong province (China), continuing to go deep inland, gradually weakening and unlikely to directly affect the mainland of Vietnam. At sea, the northern sea area of the Northern East Sea has strong winds of level 8 - 10, sea waves 3 - 5m high; the area near the storm center is strong at level 11 - 13, gusting at level 16, sea waves 5 - 7m high. The sea is very rough.

Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
