According to Mr. Huong, in the next 3-6 hours, storm No. 3 will continue to move deep into the Northeast mainland and gradually weaken. The intensity in the next 3-6 hours will remain at level 9 - level 11, then move to the Northwest region and continue to weaken.
Due to the influence of the storm circulation, in the evening and night of September 7, the Northern region will have strong storm winds. Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh will have strong winds of level 9 - level 11. Inland areas of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Hung Yen will have strong winds of level 8 - 9, gusting to level 11 - level 12. Hanoi from now until night will have gusts of level 9 - level 10.
"With a wide storm circulation, although the storm is still about 200km from Hanoi, it has had a strong impact, causing wind gusts of level 7. From now until the evening and night, when the storm gets closer, the impact of wind, storms and thunderstorms on Hanoi will be even stronger," said Mr. Huong.
The representative of the meteorological agency also warned that the strongest wind near the center of storm number 3 is still very strong, at level 11-12. The dangerous period of strong winds and heavy rain in the North due to storm number 3 has not passed but is continuing.
"It is likely that normal conditions will return to the northern provinces by the morning of September 8," Mr. Huong added.
