The Central Hydrometeorological Agency said that in Da Nang, on May 23, the highest temperature was commonly from 35-37 degrees C, the lowest humidity was about 50-60%.
According to forecasts, in the next 24 to 48 hours, hot weather in the area will continue to increase in intensity. The delta area is commonly 36-38 degrees C, with some places above 38 degrees C. The mountainous area fluctuates from 35-37 degrees C, with some places exceeding 37 degrees C. The lowest humidity is commonly from 40-55%.
Areas such as Hai Chau, Son Tra, Ngu Hanh Son, Cam Le, Hoa Khanh and neighboring localities such as Hoi An, Dien Ban, Dai Loc are forecast to maintain temperatures of 35-38 degrees Celsius in the next two days.
Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, Thang Binh areas may experience temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, mountainous areas such as Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Tien Phuoc, Tra My continue to experience prolonged hot weather.
The meteorological agency warns that in the next 72 to 120 hours, hot and intense heat will continue to be widespread with a common temperature of 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 38 degrees Celsius. The level of disaster risk due to hot weather is warned at level 1.
Prolonged heat combined with reduced air humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas, industrial parks and the risk of forest fires. Harsh weather can also cause dehydration, exhaustion and heat stroke for outdoor workers for a long time.
