Da Nang - Da Nang City allows the deployment of 9 projects to clear and renovate the drainage system to proactively respond to the risk of urban flooding.

To proactively respond to the risk of urban flooding, Da Nang City People's Committee has issued a Official Dispatch directing the implementation of solutions to treat drainage in the central urban area of Da Nang city (old) and the central area of Tam Ky city (old).

The city has agreed to allow the deployment of 9 projects to clear, renovate, and repair the drainage system on a small scale proposed by the Drainage Company in coordination with relevant units.

For the southern area of the city, Da Nang is promoting the implementation of the project "Urban development and flood control adapting to climate change in the south of Da Nang city". The goal of the project is to gradually solve the flood situation for Tam Ky city (old), Hoi An city (old) and surrounding areas.

Previously, in order to strengthen the management and operation of technical infrastructure, Da Nang City People's Committee also issued a decision and Rainy Season Drainage Plan on strengthening the management and operation of the drainage system in the city.

Currently, the Department of Construction is coordinating with relevant departments, branches and localities to monitor and urge the progress of implementing the above solutions to ensure drainage efficiency and minimize the impact on people's daily lives during the rainy and storm season.
