Cold air is about to cause rain in the North
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, the north has a weak cold air mass moving southward.
From April 3, cold air will compress and push the low pressure trough with its axis at about 24 - 27 degrees north latitude to gradually move southward.
From the evening of April 3rd to the early morning of April 4th, the Northern region (except for Dien Bien and Lai Chau provinces) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 10 - 20mm, locally heavy rain over 40mm.
Previously, in some recent rains in provinces/cities such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Son La, it was recorded that ice rain caused damage to people and property.
Regarding this weather phenomenon, according to Dr. Truong Ba Kien - Deputy Director of the Center for Meteorology and Climate Research - Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, Environment and Marine Science, heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail and tornadoes are phenomena that still often occur during the transitional season.
Dr. Truong Ba Kien analyzed that in a year there are two main seasonal transition periods: transition from spring to summer, from summer, autumn to winter.

The reason is that the transitional period is a transitional period between large-scale circulation systems, with the dispute of two gas masses with completely different characteristics along with the strong activity of the western wind zone at an altitude of 3000 - 5000m" - Mr. Kien analyzed.
These phenomena often occur quickly and unexpectedly, can cause roofs to be blown off, trees to fall, and affect people's lives, production, and lives.
In addition, the meteorological agency also warned that localized heavy rain may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes and flooding in low-lying areas. Risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes.
People need to closely monitor weather forecasts, limit going out when there is a storm, and proactively reinforce houses, protect property and vehicles to minimize damage.
Central and Southern regions continue to be hot
At noon today (April 2nd), the Southeast region will be sunny with temperatures at 13 o'clock commonly 33-35 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity at 13 o'clock is commonly 50-60%.
On April 3-4, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly from 40 - 45%.
The Southeast region is hot with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly from 45 - 50%.
Hot weather in the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai and the Southeast region is likely to last for many days to come.
Warning level of natural disaster risk due to hot weather is level 1. Due to the impact of hot weather combined with low humidity in the air, there is a risk of fire and explosion in residential areas due to increased electricity demand. In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration for the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
