Hue city and the South Central Coast region from the afternoon of December 9 to the end of December 10, are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain with common rainfall of 40 - 70mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall greater than 100mm within 3 hours.
In the Central and Southern Plateau in the evening and night of December 9, there is a forecast of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 20 - 40mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm.
It is forecasted that from the night of December 10, heavy rain in the above areas is likely to gradually decrease. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. Regarding the sea weather, the North East Sea area and Huyen Tran station have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8; Phu Quy station has gusts of level 7-8; Ly Son station has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6.
On the night of December 8 and December 9, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; rough seas; wave height 3 - 5 m.
The western sea areas of the central and southern East Sea (including the western sea area of Truong Sa special zone) and the sea areas from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau have winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas; wave height 3-5 m.
The sea area from Da Nang to Dak Lak has winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; wave height 3-5 m; northeast winds. The sea area from South Quang Tri to Hue has winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; wave height 2-4 m; northeast wind.
In addition, on the night of December 8 and December 9, the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6-7.
On the night of December 9 and December 10, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 3-5 m high; rough seas.
The sea area from Gia Lai to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South China Sea (including the western sea area of Truong Sa province) will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8; waves 2-4 m high; rough seas. The risk level of natural disasters at sea is level 2.
All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
