The meteorological agency warns of unfavorable weather in some sea areas due to the activity of the Southwest monsoon.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, at Bach Long Vy station, there are strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 7; Phu Quy station has strong southwest winds of level 6. The southeast sea area of the Northern East Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin sea area have strong thunderstorms. The western sea areas of the Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone), the eastern sea area of the Central East Sea area have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

On the day and night of August 6, the Gulf of Tonkin will have winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8. Sea is rough, waves are 1.5 - 2.5m high.

The central area of the East Sea, the sea area from Gia Lai to Lam Dong and the northern sea area of the South East Sea (including the northern Truong Sa special zone) have strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8; rough seas. Waves are about 1.5 - 2.5m high; especially in the central East Sea 2 - 4m.

In addition, on the day and night of August 6, the sea area southeast of the Northern East Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin will have strong thunderstorms. Other sea areas of the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone), the sea area east of the central East Sea, from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

In thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, and sea waves over 2m high.

On the day and night of August 7, the sea area from Gia Lai to Lam Dong, the southern sea area of the Northern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone), the central East Sea area and the northern sea area of the Southern East Sea (including the northern Truong Sa special zone) will have strong southwest winds of level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; sea waves are 2 - 4m high, especially the South East Sea is 1.5 - 2.5m; rough seas.

The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
