Currently, in the Truong Sa special zone and Phu Quy special zone, there are gusts of level 7; Huyen Tran observation station has strong northeast winds of level 7, gusts of level 9.
On January 4th, day and night, the Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the sea area from Gia Lai to Dak Lak, the central East Sea area will have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusts at level 7 - 8, rough seas; at night the wind will gradually decrease, waves will be 3-5m high.
The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, strong rough seas, waves 4-6m high.
In addition, on January 4th, day and night, the Central and South East Sea areas (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
From the night of January 5, 2026, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the northeast wind will strengthen to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2-3m high.
The Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has northeast winds gradually strengthening to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, strong sea waves, waves 3-5m high.
From January 6, the area from South Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa and the Central East Sea area will have northeast winds gradually strengthening to level 6, gusting to level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 3-5m high.
The sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau and the western sea area of the South East Sea (including the western sea area of the Truong Sa special zone) will have northeast winds gradually strengthening to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, strong rough seas, waves 4-6m high.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.
