On the night of December 23 and December 24, the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau will have scattered showers and thunderstorms; there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 6 - 7 and waves over 2m high.
In addition, the sea area east of the North East Sea will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7; rough seas; waves 2 - 4m high. All ships operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
The meteorological agency also said that currently, in the north, a part of cold air is moving south and will affect the sea weather.
From early morning on December 25, the Gulf of Tonkin will have strong northeast winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 2 - 3m high.
The North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special area) has strong northeast winds of level 7, sometimes winds of level 8, gusts of level 9, rough seas, waves 3 - 5m high.
From the evening and night of December 25, the sea area from South Quang Tri to Ca Mau and the central East Sea area will have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8 - 9, rough seas, waves 3 - 5m high.
