Rainfall from 7 am to 3 pm on August 6 in some places is over 40mm such as Muong Leo 2 (Son La) monitoring stations 45.2mm, Yen Nhan (Thanh Hoa) 77mm, Hoang Mai (Nghe An) 100.6mm, ...

    The Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An from the evening of August 6 to the morning of August 7, are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 20 - 50mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

    Warning of the risk of heavy rain with rainfall over 100mm within 3 hours.

    Ha Tinh, Central Highlands and Southern regions in the evening and night of August 6th, it is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall of 15 - 30mm, locally heavy rain over 80mm.

    In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, hail is level 1.

    From the afternoon of August 7, heavy rain in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will gradually decrease.

    Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes.
