According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 6, the Northern region and from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest common temperature of 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C such as Bac Me monitoring station (Tuyen Quang) 38 degrees C, Hoa Binh (Phu Tho) 37.6 degrees C, Lang (Hanoi) 37.8 degrees C, Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa) 37.8 degrees C...

Mr. Vu Tuan Anh, Department of Weather Forecast, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that due to the hot low pressure area in the west developing and expanding to the southeast, on June 7, hot sun tends to extend to the Northern region with sun intensity tending to increase further.
The highest temperature will reach 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, in some places there will be intense heat with temperatures above 37 degrees Celsius.
In the Northern mountainous region, in the late afternoon and night of June 7, there may be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
By June 8th, the hot weather in the Northern region tends to gradually subside. From about the afternoon of June 8th to June 9th, it is likely that heavy rain will occur on a large scale in the Northern region, the weather will become cooler and more pleasant. From June 9th, the hot weather in the Northern region will end" - Mr. Tuan Anh said.
According to a representative of the Weather Forecast Department, for the Central region, due to the impact of the southwest wind causing the foehn effect, in the period of June 7-8, from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, hot and intense heat occurred on a large scale with the highest temperature in the day commonly 35-38 degrees Celsius, even some places experienced particularly intense heat above 39 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of hot and intense heat combined with low humidity in the air, there is a risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand and the risk of forest fires. In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration for the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
Note that the forecast temperature in hot weather bulletins and the actual perceived temperature outside can differ from 2 - 4 degrees Celsius, or even higher depending on the condition of the buffer surface such as concrete and asphalt roads.
From around the evening and night of June 8th onwards, the weather in the North Central region will turn bad with thunderstorms to appear. On June 9th, hot weather in the Central region will narrow its scope, only occurring in the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai" - Mr. Tuan Anh added.
Mr. Vu Tuan Anh especially advised that people should pay attention that in the coming time, with weather conditions shifting from hot sun to thunderstorms, there is a high risk of extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
