Late on June 6, leaders of Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital said that the unit had received 3 victims in a serious traffic collision that occurred in Cu Jut commune (Lam Dong province) on the same morning.
The 4th deceased victim was identified as Mr. Nguyen Huu D. (born 1972, residing in Ea Kao ward, Dak Lak province), the driver of the tractor-trailer.
According to the hospital, Mr. D. was taken to the emergency room at 10 am in a state of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and whole body purple. Doctors determined that the victim had died before being admitted to the hospital.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: At about 7:40 am on June 6, at Km1801+600 of the Ho Chi Minh road, passing through Truc Son village 2, Cu Jut commune, a tractor-trailer with license plate 47H-040.88 pulling a trailer with license plate 47RM-005.98 driven by Mr. Nguyen Huu D. was traveling in the direction of Dong Nai - Dak Lak.
When arriving at the above location, the vehicle collided with a tractor truck without license plates driven by Mr. Y S. Ê Ban (born 1994, residing in Buon Trum, Cu Jut commune), carrying 4 more people on the vehicle, traveling in the opposite direction.
The strong collision caused both vehicles to rush to the side of the road. Mr. Y S. E Ban died on the spot, 5 others were injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
After that, Mr. Y M. Bkrong (born 2002, residing in Thanh Nhat ward, Dak Lak province) and Y H. Prieng (born 2016, residing in Cu Jut commune) died from severe injuries.
Currently, 2 injured victims including Mr. Y W. K'Nul (born 1958) and child Y C. Ê Ban (born 2021), both residing in Cu Jut commune, are being treated at the hospital.
Functional agencies of Lam Dong province are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
