Meritorious Artist (NSƯT) Hanh Thuy expressed concern when the situation of secretly filming movies, recording important segments or movie soundtracks and then posting them on social networks is becoming increasingly common. According to her, the sad thing is that many people still see this as a "harmless" action, even cheering and sharing to create interaction.
“I think this is a very alarming problem. A feature film is the effort of a whole collective with a preparation process lasting months, even years, and a very large budget. Behind a work are so many people who work with enthusiasm and seriousness.

Therefore, arbitrarily filming and then spreading it online is an act of blatant infringement of intellectual property rights, directly harming the commercial and spiritual value of the work," the female artist shared.
According to Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy, the dissemination of secretly filmed content also seriously affects the experiences of other audiences, causing revenue loss and creating a mentality of watching for free, watching pirated movies in the community.
Many people see posting secretly filmed clips as a way to help others save money to go to theaters, even thank the distributor and ask to post more. But in fact, it is an act of facilitating the destruction of works of art. These losses can completely be measured by the huge revenue loss of the film," she added.
The female artist believes that it is impossible to use the reason of "ignorance" to justify copyright infringement in the current technology era.
At a time when everyone uses social networks and technology as an essential part of life, I believe everyone understands that recording and disseminating copyrighted content is against the law. Therefore, being lenient with these behaviors cannot be considered normal," Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy expressed.
From there, the female artist hopes that cinemas need to tighten control, and functional agencies need to have more drastic measures to handle copyright infringement acts.
If individuals cannot raise awareness themselves, stronger measures are needed. Not only reminding or administratively sanctioning, but in serious cases, it is necessary to consider prosecuting to protect a healthy creative environment, protect the rights of genuine artists and preserve moral values in the community," she emphasized.
