The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a warning of heavy rain in the Central region in the coming days.
From the night of December 10 to December 13, the Central Central and South Central regions are likely to experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally 100 - 300mm, with some areas experiencing over 500mm.
From December 14, heavy rain continues in the Central Central and South Central regions.
The meteorological agency warned that heavy rain in the central provinces is likely to last for many days.
Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning is level 1.
Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
Regarding the December rain trend, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that the Central Central and South Central regions will continue to experience widespread moderate to heavy rain.
There is still a possibility of dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds across the country.
Previously, in November 2024, there were 4 widespread heavy rains occurring mainly in the Central region.
