Hanoi area from the evening of June 8 to the early morning of June 9 has moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; from the night of June 8, the weather turns cool. The lowest temperature in this cold air wave is commonly 23 - 25 degrees C.
Regarding the development of rain due to cold air, from the evening of June 8 to the night of June 9, the Northwest region, the north of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms; North Central region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.
From the evening of June 8 to the early morning of June 9, in other parts of the Northern region there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Rainstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind affect agricultural production, causing trees to fall, houses, traffic works, and infrastructure to be damaged. Localized heavy rains are likely to cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes, and flooding in low-lying areas.
At sea, from the night of June 8, in the north of the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will turn northeast strongly at level 4 - 5, sometimes level 6, gusting level 7, waves 1.5 - 2.5m high, rough seas.
Strong winds and gusts, large waves at sea are likely to affect the operation of ships and other activities.
