According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 14, the Northern region will be hot with temperatures at 1 PM commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C such as Bac Me (Tuyen Quang) 37.6 degrees C, Bao Lac (Cao Bang) 36.4 degrees C, Lang (Hanoi) 36.3 degrees C... Relative humidity at 1 PM is commonly 55 - 65%.
According to Ms. Nghiem Thi Ngoc Linh, Weather Forecasting Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the North is beginning to enter a new widespread heat wave.

On July 15, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa (excluding Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong) will have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly 55 - 60%.
The area from Nghe An to Da Nang city and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak have localized hot weather above 35 degrees Celsius.
On July 16, the Northern Delta and Thanh Hoa regions will be hot with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity is commonly 55 - 60%.
However, it should be noted that this is the temperature observed in meteorological tents, and the actual outdoor temperature can be higher by 2 - 4 degrees Celsius and even higher in urban areas. We also note that the time from 11, 12 noon to 16 - 17 pm is the time with the highest temperature in the day. Therefore, people should limit going out during this time frame, should not work outdoors for too long and drink enough water to ensure health" - Ms. Ngoc Linh advised.
According to a representative of the Weather Forecasting Department, the widespread heat wave in the Northern provinces and Thanh Hoa is likely to last until July 16; from July 17, the heat will gradually subside.
Warning level of natural disaster risk due to hot weather is level 1. Due to the impact of hot weather combined with low humidity in the air, there is a risk of fire and explosion in residential areas due to increased electricity demand. In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration for the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
Regarding the temperature trend in the next month, the average temperature nationwide is generally 0.5 - 1 degree Celsius higher than the multi-year average, especially in the South Central Coast region, it is 1 - 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than the multi-year average of the same period.
The Northern and Central regions continue to have the possibility of many hot days. However, in the Northern region, the heat tends to decrease in intensity. Especially in the Central region, the number of hot days may still be higher than the multi-year average. It is necessary to be wary of intense heat, especially intense in some places.
