The Meteorological Agency forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Central Highlands and the South, with some areas experiencing heavy rain from the evening of October 5.

According to data from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, in the area from Quang Ngai to Phu Yen, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.

From Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South, from the evening of October 5 to October 6, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15 - 30mm, locally over 70mm. Thunderstorms will be concentrated in the evening and at night.

The area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue from the night of October 6 to October 7 will have moderate rain and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

The Meteorological Agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.

Regarding sea weather, on the night of October 5 and the day of October 6, in the southern sea area of ​​the North East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), the southern East Sea area (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7 - 8.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
