The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the Northern region is forecast to have a cooling trend from August 11.

The Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms at night on August 10 and August 11, locally moderate to heavy rain; during the day, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, the midlands and plains will have locally hot weather.
On the night of August 11 and August 12, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night, Lai Chau, Dien Bien and Lao Cai will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; intermittent sunshine during the day.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the east of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. In the south (from Quang Tri) in the evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. On August 11, the above area will have hot weather, some places will have severe heat, on August 12, the heat will decrease to locally.
In the Central and Southern highlands in the next 2 days, there will be rain in the afternoon and at night, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.
The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The Northern region is likely to have scattered showers and thunderstorms from August 13 to 19, with some places having heavy rain. Rain will be concentrated in the evening, night and morning.
The Central region from August 12 to 19 will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.
Other areas from August 13 to 19 are forecast to have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; from around August 20, the rain is likely to gradually decrease.
