Son La - More than 300 people were mobilized to control the forest fire on high mountains in Son La city.

According to initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. on April 5, a fire broke out in the area of the annual rainforest on Hai Mountain, in Hai village, Chieng An ward, Son La city.

Immediately after receiving the report, functional forces including forest rangers, police, army and local people quickly arrived at the scene, urgently deploying fire fighting work. More than 300 people were mobilized to control the fire.

However, due to the high, rugged terrain, thick vegetation and easy to catch fire, along with strong winds and darkness, firefighting was difficult. The authorities had to use the method of leading water pipes to the mountain, building firebreaks, and finding ways to approach the fire from many directions.
