The Secretary of the Appraisal Council is a representative of the Department of Geology and Minerals - Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The council works on a part-time basis, with the main task of organizing the appraisal of projects and reports related to mineral mine exploration and closure activities in the province, in compliance with the provisions of law. The Department of Agriculture and Environment plays the role of a standing agency, responsible for advising, synthesizing, and coordinating appraisal activities.
