The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has made a meteorological assessment for the period of this weekend and next week (from March 16 to March 21).
Hanoi area
On March 16, Hanoi will have rain in some places, the weather will turn cold. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
From March 17 to 21, there will be no rain at night, fog in some places in the early morning, and sunny days. From March 17 to 19, it will be cold; from March 20, the morning and night will be cold.
Northern region
On March 16, the North will have rain in some places. The weather will turn cold, some mountainous areas will be very cold. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
From March 17 to 21, the North will have rain in some places at night, fog in some places in the early morning, and sunny days. From March 17 to 19, it will be cold; from March 20, the morning and night will be cold.
Water levels of rivers in the Northern region will change slowly.
Central region
The North Central region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms on March; from March 17 to 21, there will be rain in some places. From March 16 to 19, it will be cold; from March 20, the morning and night will be cold.

Central Highlands and Southern region
From March 16 to 21, the Central Highlands and the South will have sunny days, some places will have hot weather, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and night. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
Water levels of rivers in the Central Highlands will change slowly; water levels of rivers in the South will change with the tide.
Assessment of the hydrological situation
From March 15, wave heights will increase in most areas, wave heights in the area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, the East Sea (including the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa), common wave height of 3 - 5m, Gulf of Tonkin, Quang Tri - Quang Ngai areas common wave height of 2 - 4m.
The meteorological agency forecasts that next week, there is little chance of a tropical cyclone.
